Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

Hours: 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Instructions for Registration

Registration for Winter Term of SUN Extended Day opens on Wednesday, December 8, and closes on Friday, December 17.

Please read all instructions for registration carefully. If you need help with registering, please call Anna Le at 971-227-4480.

If you would like to register your student for Winter Term, please click here to access the Winter 2021 Registration Form!

Returning SUN Families: If your student already registered for SUN Community School in the Fall of 2021, then please stop here.

New SUN Families: If your student has not attended SUN this school year, then you will need to complete the general registration form. Please click here to access the SUN Community School 2021-2022 Registration Form.

Mission

IRCO SUN School’s Mission is to enrich, empower and inspire all stakeholders to be forces of change for student achievement and community development at Ventura Park. We are committed to creating inclusive systems that make educational success available to all.

Vision

Our vision is to create a vibrant community center at Ventura Park. By serving as a positive force for our School Community we will harness collective efforts in order to enrich, empower and inspire our immigrant and refugee families and the community at large.

Extended Day

SUN Extended-Day is an after-school opportunity for students to build upon what they learn in school. Students practice their academic skills while having fun, making friends, expressing themselves creatively, engaging with staff in smaller groups, and more. 

2021-2022 Dates 

• Fall: October 11 – December 9, 2021 
• Winter: January 10 – March 3, 2022 
• Spring: April 4 – May 27, 2022

Play and Learn

Play and Learn is a free, live online program for parents and 0-5 year olds.

Food and Other Assistance

If your family needs help with food, utilities, or other essential items, please contact Anna (971-227-4480 or Anna_Le@partner.DDSD40.org) or Jacqui (503-984-2812 or jacquim@irco.org). We may be able to help! Our Fresh Food Pantry occurs every Monday from 3:15 to 4:00 pm in the covered basketball court in the back of the school. Please wear a mask, bring a reusable shopping bag, and come pick up some fresh produce and other food items!
